I have just started working on my merit badges. I have started a journal on recycling and green living ideas. It's amazing the little things that you can change that make a difference. I stop for cofree at the gas station in the mornings and always used the disposable cups that they offer. I now take my own cup in. I have set up an area with containers to collect recyclable items. Instead of throwing some items away that I no longer want or need I took them to Care and Share so someone else could benefit from them. I am thinking of other things that I can do to help save the planet. It is giving me a good feeling to be doing this. Next I am going to start making my own green cleaners.

Hay there.
I have been working on badges but not sending them in. I think the office may be upset when I get them all organized and written up and send them all in! It is my hope to get them turned in by the end of the year. It feels so good to finish one and get involved in the next. They are soooo fun to do.
Hugs, Daizy

Lori, that is fantastic! I love green living and incorporate it in my life as much as I can. I like your idea of taking your coffee cup. Even that small step is making a difference in our world. Keep up the amazing work and great job on the merit badge.
Daily, how many badges do you have complete? I bet you will get them done soon. They are pretty fun and make me feel so proud of myself when I complete one. I'm a bit behind on submitting mine as well.

I have been working on my badges, too. It is so much fun. I haven't tried baking bread yet nor have I done any of the craft work. I have a lot to go. I'm thinking about doing some sprouting. It looks fun and easy. From the what I have read about it, the health benefits are worth trying it.

I just started yesterday on my Nellie Make Do Beginner merit badge (Stitching and Crafting). I'm going to use all the torn fitted bedsheets I've saved the past few years and turn them into a rug. I hope! I haven't tried this before!

Good luck Sue! I would love to hear how it goes and see a completed picture of your project. What sort of rug will you be making?

Sue, that sounds beautiful. I'm excited to see.
Oh Hilary. I'm sorry you are sick. I hope you feel better soon. The flu is horrible.

I'm new to the Sisterhood of only a couple weeks and I can't wait to get started. My calendar is full and my binder is made! I hope to work on Make-It Get Physical and workout 5 times per week for 20 minutes each time. I also would like to do Make It Relaxation because I thought these went together. I am also going to try my hand at candle making with the Make It Candle Making and make some green cleaners with Clean Up Going Green and Shopping Green. Any others that I should try?

Welcome Jenny! Those are some fantastic ones to start with. You are really going to enjoy all these badges. What are some other interests you have? That could help point you in the direction of what other badges to do. My favorite is the crochet Merit Badges. I just need my advanced badge!

Okay decided to start the 25. Bibliophile Badging, so having typed out (well cut and paste!) all my not yet read on kindle books, I cut out and folded all the strips of paper
The first is all the strips in a bag (ease of shaking) the second is a tub 7 inches high and fairly well packed! It turns out my TBR list runs to well over 500 books (oops!)

Wow Hilary that is quite the list of books! Are you going to be randomly drawing out the books you will read? I still have my list but haven't had a chance to start yet this year. Also I'm glad you found your number.

Yes to random picks BUT if there are some I haven't read before the one I pick then I will read them first!

There are so many badges to choose from. We have a small hobby farm with lots of animals and gardens and working our way to be more self sufficient every year, so MaryJane seemed like the perfect place to find my people!
