Marilyn- I love your quilts and the children who receive them will be very happy to get them.

Linda- I think those colors will work. Please post when you get it going cause I really would like to see it finished.
Denise I agree, I would just leave it and put the border on it. It is so cute the way it is!!

Beverly that is a neat idea. Did you use 10" x 2 1/2" grey strips and 12" white strips, and 2 1/2" squares?? Or what did you use?

I think she had said earlier the greys were 8" and 10" grey strips and 2-1/2" squares. So I think it would be 12" x 2-1/2" white strips on the sides and then white long strips across between the rows.

Linda, I received your pattern for the microwave bowl pattern! Thank you! You are so sweet to share and I love your directions! We went to town today and I found the Wrap-N-Zap batting at JoAnn's. So, I'm all set! Yay!

Yes, thank you Linda for the mw bowl pattern. And thanks to Judith, now I know that " batting stuff that can be microwaved and is all cotton " has a real name.

Sure, Denise. I will send it off in a minute.

LOL Marilyn. When I wrote that pattern the first time I had not used the Wrap=n=Zap yet. But Yes, the Wrap-n-Zap is 100% cotton. The Warm and Natural, though on the label mentions "made with natural cotton", really has 15% poly fibers. I used it before the Wrap-n-Zap came out and had no problems, but using a poly in the microwave CAN burn. It is $8.99 for a bag of the batting, and only makes about 6 bowl potholders, so I use coupons and try to get it when all the batting is 50% off. LOL!

I love these bowls - I have 16 to make tonight (or finish tomorrow). LOL!

I love the coupons at Michaels, Joanns, Hancocks and Hobby Lobby. My friend stacks coupons at Joanns. I have never understood that concept. I look at coupons as helping pay the sales tax or shipping costs. I now see that our Christmas swap was at the perfect time, because several of the best fabrics are sold out at different stores.
