Friday afternoon I gave blood at a Red Cross bloodmobile for the 30th time in my life.
This is so important. and it gives you such a good feeling to donate. It doesn't take long, and it's completely safe.
Not everyone can give blood, but I encourage those who can, to sign up with their local Red Cross today.
Three years ago my daughter and my grandmother were in the same hospital on the same day. Between them they used 6 pints of blood. My daughter had a C-section and my grandmother had some kind of internal bleeding. I was really grateful for the people who had given blood that it was available for them.
I understand that the blood supply is at a near all-time low. Please consider giving today!

I agree it is very important to give blood. I am not able to due to my genetic cloting disorder neither can my children but because of us my husband goes allthe time to donate blood. He knows that in any given accident the infussians I need to stay alive would be about equal to 40 people giving blood for one dosage of Humate P. I have never had to use this but with out donors the chance of me using it would never happen. So please for your loved ones , friends, and for strangers donate you don't know whos dad, mom, or baby you may be saving.
have a lovely day and may God bless you and keep you safe my blog http://sunshinescreations.blogspot.com my web stores www.sunshines.etsy.com and http://vintagethreads.etsy.com |

I can't because of living in Europe during a specific time period (mad cow), otherwise I would.
As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord!

HUZZAH! On my 21st birthday I decided to commit to a life of giving blood. Was in school at the time and feeling lonesome and sorry for myself...thought a selfless act might cheer me.
I'm 36 now and donate twice a year......this year I will have donated 3 times.
The bloodmobile comes to the zoo at scheduled intervals, so it's easy, easy!
My blood type is AB pos, so I know it gets used pretty quickly. If I could donate more in one sitting, I would.

I used to give every six weeks but can't anymore. I don't remember the name for what happens. My bp drops and I pass out. It takes several hours for me to return to normal. I'm AB- so other than being broken down there isn't much call for it. When I lived in FL I was on call at the hospital in case there was an emergency and no AB- on hand.
