My heavens, Kate!!! I am so glad to hear from you - and to have an update as to how you are doing, but this is ridiculous - I'm sending special "get the heck out of Kate" vibes to that infection... I hope and pray that you are feeling much better very soon - your poor body - and I say "body," because even through this ordeal, I can see your true shining farmgirl personality and optimism bursting through. Love!!!

I am hanging in there...still on the IV antibiotics, and really, as much as I don't want to have another surgical procedure, I will probably have to have this abcess on my jaw bone drained! Probably on Monday or Tuesday.
Really, after 6 weeks, all I want for Christmas is to be off this IV....
But it doesn't look like it is going to happen.
