Welcome, Sandra! I always love hearing from farmgirls overseas. I live in east Texas - where it is very hot right now! Glad to have you here. Maybe you'd like to join in on some of the swaps!

Welcome Sandra-

While I continually marvel at all the delightful things I discover on my visits to France, my most recent trip introduced me to the most incredible use of an apple since apple pie: Calvados! We were lucky enough to visit a distillery of course in the Normandy region, and came home with a slightly expensive but delightful habit. I truly enjoy it that much more after learning the process of how it is made, and that like so many things there, it is a labor of love.

I am always simply amazed at the local markets and how much more intense the flavors are of the beautiful local produce. As several others have said, I too am looking forward to learning about what you enjoy growing and how you do it.

Welcome from the Midwest section of the US-Iowa. We are known for our field corn and sweet corn here. We have many gardeners in Iowa and have great farmers markets. You will love the farmgirl site as there are women I would guess from every state.

Farmgirl friends are fun.

Welcome Sandra to the sisterhood. Please, post pictures of where you live so we can enjoy the beautiful scenery. I love watching shows about different countries so I can see the landscapes.
