April I'm so glad you liked it! I need to work on my packaging I guess for any future pocket letter swaps. It was too thick to fit in a regular envelope. This swap was really fun. I can't wait for more! :)

Sheila asked me to post pics of the pocket letter I sent to her, so here it is.
This is the front showing all the "goodies" in the pockets
I wrote my letter on more of the patterned paper pieces in the back of the pockets, numbering them so Sheila would know in which order to read them.
This was a fun project to do and share! THANKS MADDIE for hosting! CJ

CeeJay, I like your idea of your letter written on the backs of all of your cards.

Vanessa, Here is the PL you sent me. Sorry I didn't post pictures sooner. Internet and computer problems. I just love it!! I didn't think about the back of the cards either. I will for the next one though. Love the picture you picked out. Looks so inviting. Putting the letter on the back of the cards is a great idea also. I love this Swap. I makes me smile. I received my pocket letter from Gayle today. It is amazing!
Front
Back
The letter came wrapped in this hand sewn, hand painted bag. I live in Minnesota, the Land of 10,000 Lakes and Vikings football. This guy is so cute. I can always use another bag.
Thank you Gayle for putting this together for me. All the teas are great. Thank you Marilyn for helping her.
I will definitely do it differently next time. This was so fun.

Ladies, I love Happy Mail/ Farm girl Mail. I think I had forgotten how exciting it was to get a letter from our cousins who lived far away, when I was a little girl. Then when I was in high school I had a penpal in Australia. How exciting to get a letter with all kinds of colorful stamps. My penpal's name was Marilyn Robinson. My name was Marilyn Robinson. We wrote for several years, until I was married with a baby boy. She came to Canada and we lost touch. Long story short, I think we all enjoy Happy Mail.Have a wonderful Farm girl weekend.

You gals are all so creative. I would like to do one of these but would feel sorry for my partner. I have to practice and get better. I understand it but I feel like All I do is Kindergarten art. Or mine looks like a 2yr old did it. I will keep trying. MaryBeth

Mary Beth, I have paintings in my living room done by My GRANDDAUGHTERS when they were two. Scribble paintings...very modern. My point is we are all creative...sometimes with scrapbook paper, old calendars, maps, etc. Just try, you may be pleasantly surprised.

CJ, I just love my pocket letter you made for me, I hope you got the one I sent you by now. Since this was my first pocket letter ever, I have a silly question, do I keep all the cute little thing in the pocket letter and put it into a binder or do I use the little things for crafts? |
