MaryEllen, I received your postcard today! What a neat idea for a postcard! I have to look up again why NC is called the TarHeel State. I knew that at one time. Sounds like you are located in the middle of everything beautiful. We are at 95 degrees and humid today here in Iowa. Sound like home? lol

Judith, I'm here. Glad you like the card. It is of a county fair not a state fair. We go almost every year.
I have 5 cards now.
Thanks to Maryellen for the North Carolina post card. Fun to learn about where other Farm Sisters live.
Thanks Vanessa for the card from Palm Beach, Florida. Looks crowed there. I would live in a normal area like you. Not as much responsibility. lol!

Got a card from Jami of Texas Chili. Jalapenos! Maybe a tiny bit in mine. I can't even pick up hot peppers without burning my hands. My DH husband says I'm not allowed to clean them anymore. Twice I have burned my hands so bad I was at the Drs. Found out if you do burn your hands from hot peppers. Make an ice bath and add some type of oil to it such as vegetable, corn, canola or olive oil. The oil cuts capsaicin and of course ice cools the burn.
Also received a lovely card from Robin. Love the quote on the back.

Hey, Jami! Your postcard arrived today! So, bright! Loved it! BTW I have a chili recipe that is so hot you really can't taste any of the other ingredients...now, what is the point. (But, actually was asked to share the recipe) Go figure Texas! lol

I apologize to those Sisters to whom I mailed postcards with only 34 cents postage. I am behind the times. I now understand that postage for these cards has gone up to 35 cents. I only thought to check because postcards I have received had 35 Cents on them. Luckily, I've only mailed about 6.

ha............my Hunny used to tell people he thought I was a Dragon Feeder in another life - one who feeds dragons HOT stuff so they can blow fire !!! ha
We DOOOOOOOOO like it spicy hot :-) I usally have to do 2 different batches when I make it though................1 for Us and 1 for anyone that cant handle the heat :-)

Good evening everyone,
So far, I have received cards from Maryellen in North Carolina, Linda in Texas, Vanessa in Florida, and Jami in Texas as well as the earlier cards from Shannon in South Carolina and Brenda in Michigan and Marlene in Iowa. I am so lucky to have so many cards already.
My father's widow lives in Palm Beach Gardens. I knew there was a Palm Beach, a north Palm Beach, and now a royal Palm Beach as well. Are they all connected?
I mailed mine out today.

Got a Post Card from Judith today. Guess what, no postage due. It came through just fine. Thought you'd like to know. lol We all make mistakes.
No I didn't know you could hear corn grow. Guess I'll have to go out in a corn field and listen. LOL! Ya like that is going to happen. Well maybe.

Have received three more wonderful cards! Carole's beautiful card has a breath-taking view from the Chiricahua National Monument. Jamie's has an equally stunning view of Houston's skyline. And Robin's view of a wonderful big cactus through glamping tent curtains looks like a fairy tale! Thanks so much, ladies!

West Palm Beach (city) and Royal Palm Beach (village) butt up against each other, but Palm Beach is an island (for rich folks) and North Palm Beach is up near Jupiter. quote:
