sit down and have a heart to heart with your cat... how impressed you would be if s/he were to catch a mouse ot two... bat it around, doesn't have to eat it and by no means needs to bring it into the house! lol! Tell your kitty you'll make it a special quilt id it will eradicate the mice from the garden...lol!

unfortunately my barn kitties like to bring their 'finds' into the garage,,, were are talking lizard tails, 1/2 chewed gophers and have ya ever tried to 'sweep' bird feathers? I fear come Summer when I clear out the garage I will find the rest of the bird!lol!

Dinah, maybe the cat is getting feed too much. LOL. We had an outside cat that refused to catch the mice. We feed her half of what we usually feed her. After the second day, we were surprised with three dead mice at the back door. Marly

I have an eight year old cat. Too lazy and picky about his food to hunt. Last April I rescued two four week old kittens. They have been chasing mice, gophers and birds since they were about three months old. They have free will dry food available at all times. I also feed them a small of cat food between them each morning. Maybe you need a younger cat.
