Hi girls!
Here’s another fun, creative swap project for us, girls: a St. Patrick’s Day themed altered CD!!! Basically, you cover both sides of a CD with paper, then embellish in a St. Patrick’s Day theme. You can punch a hole in the top and add ribbon for hanging, or create a little prop on the back (as you would see on a picture frame) so it can be displayed on a table or shelf. SO much fun to make - it's one of my personal favorite projects! ‘Just to give you an idea of what one looks like, here are pics of one I made a few years back for the Mail Art Swap:
You can also find plenty of other examples online for inspiration! <Doesn’t this look like fun?!>
Sign up for this swap will end February 15th.
Partners will be assigned February 17th.
Altered CDs will need to be mailed out by February 27th.
If you'd like to add special little tuck-ins, that is okay, but PLEASE know they are absolutely NOT required and should NOT be expected. I honestly think these adorable CDs will be the greatest little St. Patrick’s Day gifts in themselves, don't you?!
I hope you'll join in the fun! I can’t wait to see all of our creations!

CJ - for that one, I made a little stand in back... Kind of a flip frame that could prop up the CD... Here's what it looked like:

Having said that, however, I also have a Crop-o-dile tool that will cut a hole in a CD as if it were butter... If you don't have or know anyone with a Crop-o-dile, maybe you could heat the CD a bit and punch an awl through??? (BEFORE you decorate it, of course!). I would probably stick with the little frame-prop thingy, though. OR maybe hang a ribbon through the hole of the CD before decorating it, so that the paper covers everything with the ribbon poking out from on top... does that make sense???
