I mended two tote bags that have been sitting around for a year or more just yesterday. I am organized. It just doesn't look like it.

You guys are so funny!

Mary, WOW! Love your quilt. Still working on my and it will probably be another year. Then I can sandwich one of the 6 tops I have ready to go. Oh my! not to mention the 8 or 10 in the wings waiting to be put together.

I think my next UFO will either be the cuff bracelets or the sweater I started 3 years ago and only have the arms to go LOL! The pattern had an error of some sort and the one sleeve that I did knit is about 5 inches too long HAHAHA. Need to rewrite the pattern to fit and knit the sleeves and it will be done.

AHHHHHHH looking forward to working on the 2016 UFO's

I have a wicker rocker in my sewing room and I love it for hand sewing and crochet. The bed would be too tempting. Then I wouldn't get any work done.

I don't have a sewing room ~ my whole house is my sewing room. Fabric and supplies stored in walk-in bedroom closet; hand work done in living/sitting room rocker; laying-out, cutting, and sewing done on gate-leg kitchen table. When sides are down the table sits 2 ~ when one or both sides are up it can sit up to 6 - with leaf in 8. So it's the perfect size for whatever I am working on.

The lil cottage is next to my deck and that's where I store everything that I can't find a place for in the house. It's where I do most of my crafting ~~~ when the weather's not too hot or too cold to be out there.

i just picked up this post again and read the past few pages on sewing rooms and UFOs!! LOL!!!! You all are hilarious and wonderful. Just listening to all of the beautiful projects waiting in line and seeing the latest completions (Marie, that quilt is awesome!) gives me a warm fuzzy feeling here at MJF. It is like a dose of sunshine on a cold wet day! Where else in the world can you go and hear about creativity humming from coast to coast? It is inspiring!! You Farmgirls ROCK!

Sara... I would luv to have a sun poarch to do my sewing and needle work... lots of wonderful day light... but where I currently am... to many trees (off & on shade) ... to many bugs and a bit too breezy...
that being said... I luv dragging my "current" project out to the kitchen... lots of surface area and lots of light... plus my humming bird feeders are by the kitchen window so ai have sweet entertainment too!

I've thought about adding a porch on the back of my house or screening in the front porch. I usually have a breeze on the front porch, so I would be able to sit outside in the spring and fall to relax and stitch or read.

Oh, I love my front porch. In Minnesota you need it screened in for mosquitos, but it is a great place to sew, sit or just swing in the porch swing. I recommend a porch for everyone.

I loved the front porch on my grandmother's house. She had the old wicker furniture on one side and on the other a squeaky metal glider with cushions on it that could be made into a bed. It was a comfortable place to sit and think.

We have a really nice deck on the east side of the house, with no roof. I would love a pergola style roof over it, but so far it's not happened. We spend a lot of our warm weather evenings on the deck and it's the place for summer time supper. Spring and fall we can also add morning coffee . . . too warm there in the summer!

You gals are so lucky... as a child growing up in apartments (military housing) on Base as well as my grandparents Flat in Germany... I never got to enjoy a sun room or screened in poarch.... I have always dreamed of having such a space to enjoy the sunshine.
Maybe my next home will have one.

OK, OK! A challenge. I'm going to at least put the binding on one quilt RIGHT NOW! The quilt has been on my bed for a year without the binding, so it is a queen-size quilt. LOL! I need to find my camera battery charger - that one item hides/disappears regularly. I will try taking pictures with my cell phone.

Here are the last UFOs I have finished this year.

This crocheted jacket just needed a couple seams repaired and a few loose ends tucked in.

This is the pin I made for the girl from school. It took considerable dexterity and patience to construct.

Well shoot! My last one wouldn't download. It was a rip repaired on one of DH's t-shirts.

I will post my "must" finishes tomorrow. Happy crafting.

Well, Marie - I confess - the binding did NOT get done and the quilt is back on the bed. LOL!

Yep, I too had the best of intentions to get one last project finished,,, but I spent the day (12/31) helping a friend work on a mini horse who has some behavorial issues...my are is actually sore from working with the mini,,, holding the lead rope to modify her behavior... I am going over to the ranch again tomorrow to work with the mini... at 10years old she is quite skitsch and thou she wears a halter you can not approach her so we leave a lead rope hanging so we can step on it to catch her... and while she is just a mini horse (38" at the withers) she tries to rear up,,, so between Connie (owner) and I we are working on her behavior issue,,, and so it will be a couple weeks before I can settle down on any old 2015 UFO's... but not to worry,,, they will just roll over into 2016..
SO look out 2016... here come the new UFO's... I will post a new "Get your UFO's done in 2016' thread... let the fun begin !
