Dogs and Christmas are two of my favorite things! When I can combine the two of them -- that's wonderful.

Let's do a swap for our best canine friends for Christmas. The package should include a toy, a treat (or package of them), and a little something for the dog mom. Other tucks are always enjoyed, but not expected.

So -- send me your name and contact information, your dog's name and breed, as well as any dietary restrictions your swap partner should work around.

Sign up by December 9th
Mail out by December 16th

I'm so excited that my little Truffle will get a package.

(I know that some of you will want to have a swap for your cats and rabbits and so forth, but I'd like this one to be just "for the dogs." You can always start another swap for other treasured pets!)

Love this! I would like to join. Karen, if we have multiple dogs, are we signing up just "one"?

Hi Nicole,

I'm so glad you are interested in this swap. I am thinking sign up just one of your dogs, or sign up for more than one partner. How many do you have?

OOOh! OOOh! OOOOh! Please sign me up!
I have an 8 year old lovely lady named Sigred who I rescued when she was 10 months old. Sigred is an Australian Kelpie and Border Collie mix. Black with some white. Sigred is allergic to anything that has lamb in it and I would prefer that anything for her was not made in China including treats.
So excited about a swap including my fur baby!
Thanks so much for thinking this up.

Hi Gals :-) I think Diana has a good point about not buying any treats from CHINA. I personally know dogs who have died from treats from CHINA, beef jerky treats to be exact. :-(

I'd like to sign up my little Pip. He's loving the Christmas sweater I made him.

He's our little sweet chihuahua. Five years young. Karen, sending you my info.

I asked my Laney if she would like to sign up for this swap and since she is my door greeter when the mail man brings packages she is very excited to get one of her own. Please sign us up Karen and Thank You for such a clever idea.

Oh, I would love to participate in this, but I have 6 rescue doggies! I would be willing to send to 6 people if that would work? My only requirement is NO CHICKEN. One of my dogs is terribly allergic to chicken. Sign me up please!

I'm in also. I agree about buying treats from China. My Whiskey Lullabye is a rescue German Shephard from Oregon. She travels everywhere with us from Michigan to Wyoming, or Ohio, or wherever. She even goes to my sisters who has 7 rescued cats without incident.

Susan,

You are welcome to sign up for 6 swaps - - just as long as you can spoil each one of your swap puppies equally and thoroughly. Let me know today, as I hope to assign partners by the end of the day.

Just my two cents as well, please no treats from China or ingredients from China. Just for the record, my wonder pooch, Sigred (female) is allergic to lamb. Anything but lamb is great!
Let's have a great swap!
