I line dry my clothes spring and summer - don't want a dryer. This weekend the temperatures became "woodstove" necessary - so today I dried my first wash in the living room - I use a retractable clothes line from corner to corner. Takes about 3 hours to dry pants/t-shirts and towels - puts moisture in the air and I get double use from the woodstove.

I do the same thing, only my wood stove is in the basement. I have clotheslines up down there. One good thing about winter is I can wash clothes any time of day and hang them to dry! ha
