Our hens are laying so good. We give away so many eggs. 5-6 a day is way more than we can use but we love getting them. Here are some of our girls.

Marybeth,

They are so pretty! Someday we hope to have chickens in addition to our pigs.

I love seeing your photos, you are very talented!

Judy, The dark Chickens are Coocoo Maran or French Maran. They lay extremely dark eggs. Real pretty eggs. MB

did you know that you can freeze your extra eggs? crack them into large ice cube trays and freeze, then put them into freezer containers or zipbags...

They are certainly beautiful birds you have MaryBeth. I just can't do without my chickens, they provide such good company.
