Connie: Such beautiful pictures. Now I am really ready for Fall. Just cool weather would be nice.

Starbuck's has their Pumpkin Spice Lattes out??? Thanks Connie for the intel! I do love this Starbuck's special fall beverage and enjoy getting a latte and sitting (of course in the AC down here ) and reading a book or working on a knitting project for a quiet moment.

Judy, I saw on weather.com that the Southeast is predicted to have a warmer than normal August-November. It made my heart sink for us way down here. Of course, that is average temperature prediction and it could be only 1-2 degrees higher than normal which does not mean it won't be nice and cool for you. If you go to weather.com and look under the Forecast link, you will see a little map that is a quick video which talks about their prediction coming up. I am hoping they are wrong!

Marly, you and I are in the same boat! We would just LOVE some cooler weather! Less humidity and not 3 rain storms a day would be a huge improvement for us.!!

Connie, love those photos you find of the beautiful leaves!

I created a post on apples yesterday to take one aspect of fall and generate conversation and ideas. Hop on over and share your apple recipes, ideas or general information! The more the merrier!!

Sorry to hear about the heat down there, the last two nights we were about 45, that's cool, and the days still held on the fall crisp air, kind of like and early tease of the season to come.

I love the pictures, I would like to take a walk around that lake.

And honestly I never tired Starbucks pumpkin latte, so maybe I will need to make a special trip to get one.

Connie, now that's what I'm talking about. Early in the mornings I can catch a hint of fall in the air - by 10 it's already heating up but I know one of these days I'll wake up and fall will be all around me.

Hugs, Sara

Sara, That is how it is here in W. Tn. That cool breeze in the morning! This week we are having triple digit heat indexes, but can't complain, instead of all Summer, This is our first time for those!

Winnie and Judy, I thought of all of us when I saw that on Face Book! One of my friends from High School posted it, she is CRAZY about Fall too!

Connie, cool breeze you say?? Oh, how wonderful that must have felt. We have been hot an humid all weekend and the forecast for next week is a heat wave. Really? What do you call what we have? I love your photo of the little boy jumping in the big pile of leaves. Brings back memories of childhood in Virginia!

Lori, your day sounded like so much fun. I bet Cracker Barrel has all of their Fall stuff out. I need to run by ours in town and smell the Yankee candle scents for fall this year. Maybe I will get one and light it to make the house smell all full of cinnamon and spice. Last year, I think I burnt 3 big fall candles by Yankee Candle before October! LOL! I know, I know. Desperate people do desperate things!!! hehehe!

You got that right Connie! Just went out to get the mail and was surrounded by a blanket of humid heat. Can't wait for this weather pattern to move on and hopefully not return! Heat miseries for sure. Come on September and bring us some changes. Pleeze!!!

Growing up in the Chicago area I remember knowing that when the Chicago Tribune printed the Injun Summer picture and story on the front of the Magazine section that meant that Fall was around the corner.

Here is a link to the picture and story.
