Hi everyone,

My name is Sarah and I currently live in Arlington, Texas. I work full-time as a paralegal in Plano and also have a full-time writing career, writing Christian historical romance. My DD is 7 and my DH works as a mechanical engineer.

We recently bought a small house in Megargel, Texas. We're restoring it to its 1935 glory after years of abuse and neglect. The plan is to finish working on the house and move to our less-than-an-acre paradise as soon as possible. I am ready to quit the rat race and start homesteading!

I found this site while looking for cross-stitch patterns, especially one that says "Use it up, wear it out, make it do, do without" which is the motto for our tiny farmhouse. I look forward to meeting and chatting with like-minded women. :)

Welcome Sarah. My hubby and I just moved to Texas a year ago, in the Hill Country.
Came all the way from Southwest Louisiana. LOL I miss Louisiana's green grass and flat lands.
You'll love the MJF forum. Enjoy!

Welcome! I'm new here too, just having so much fun browsing. My husband and I are looking at buying a house and there are so many great old ones in my town. I love older houses, though restoring them sounds like so much work. Good luck! I love that motto.
