I had two bantams (banies)I named Hot Pants and Top Hat. Hot Pants was quite the rooster. He'd run around the yard jumping on the full sized hens we had. Unfortunately something gnawed through the wire we had on their home and killed them both. I was really upset. A few weeks later I made a donation for our small town Christmas tree lighting ceremony, which was "in memory of" a loved one, so I wrote down their names. I never knew that this was a very serious memorial read before the lighting of the tree. Oh, well!! When Top Hat and Hot Pants were read I had all I could do from laughing and crying at the same time!
