Hay ya'll,
I have been out of town for the last week and I received a block from Denise and Linda when I returned. I have to get busy sewing this weekend so be on the look out. I love all these blocks.....I am so glad that I committed to doing this Friendship Quilt. Thanks.

Hi all, sorry about not being around this week. I received beautiful blocks from Denise and Shelley, and when I lay them all out (all that I have received) the quilt is going to be beautiful. It's already my favorite. :D

I laid out all of my blocks last night (8 including mine) and got a vision of how beautiful this quilt is going to be. I was reminded of how our church group used to "sign up" to bring food for parties: bring something sweet or something savory. We always had the perfect ratio without the stress of wishing we had committed to something different because those ingredients aren't in the pantry after all.
By the way, I mailed all of my squares out on the same day. Please let me know if you did not receive one or if the one you received was damaged in some way, and I'll send another.

Just lovely!! What a neat idea! I think I may be able to make these.... lol. I am wanting to get started quilting. I know I missed this swap, but if someone can help a newbie, I may make a trial one so I know if I can do the next one!! :)

Ok. Ok.... :) but first I have another project I have to finish this week. So I won't be able to get started on anything else until next week. and then I am kind of slow sometimes because of the little ones that I have. Is that going to be a problem? I would love to join if its okay.

Looks like you're in Alicia! Don't worry, you have time to make your blocks, not everyone has completed theirs yet. The blocks are very simple, and you will have complete directions on how to make them. If you can sew a straight at 1/4" seam allowance, you will do fine. Email me your mailing address so I can send the directions for the block and everyone's mailing information to you.

Hi All, I have just been checking my blocks to see if I missed anyone and I may have missed receiving some blocks. So far I have not received blocks from: jerseygirlsue, momofseven, Penny Wise, Churunga, Daizy, and hudsoninaf.
I know we are all very busy and I just want to check if some of these may have gotten lost some in the mail.
How are you all doing? The blocks everyone has made are so pretty and well made, I can't wait to have them all assembled into my quilt.
By The Way..... just a side note... I am so excited and a nervous wreck at the same time. We just put an offer in on an 11 acre farm in NC and we are so tensed up worrying if we are making the right move since we haven't put this house on the market yet and the budget is going to be even tighter until it sells. But, on the plus side, the new farm is beautiful, just about everything we had on our checklist. Now we wait......
Thanks for giving me moment, off topic, to vent.

Congratulation Kathleen. You will get through this. Take your moments where you can get them. We are all here for you.
I will be starting on this on June 7th and will work until they are done. I will send them out as I finish and update everyone here. That day will be my first day of summer FREEDOM!!!

Thank you Marie, We haven't heard back yet about our offer..... our agent says it could take days since the seller is a bank and they operate on their own time-table. I appreciate the update on you blocks.

Just a quick update about the farm. The seller did not accept our bid so we are taking it as a sign that this isn't the right place for us after all. We will just continue to be happy with our little back-yard farm for now. The search continues. We have never gone wrong by following the signs.
