I would like to melt down scraps of left over soap to make into a small bar. Right now I have it in a double boiler but it's not melting. What's up?

Lorena you would need to cut those soap scraps up and add them to a pot with maybe 1/2 of water and heat very slowly. basically you are cooking the soap with the water. constantly stir until everything is melted and mixed well. then poor into molds and let set overnight.
