Hi ladies! My name is MacKenzie and I am from Eastern Washington. Almost two years ago my husband and I decided to move our family to a small, run down 12 acre farm just outside of town. Our house was built in 1895 and had only experienced DIY remodels over the years, however, my husband is a contractor so we took on the project with gusto, despite me being 7 months pregnant at the time!

We ended up moving in just two weeks before our daughter was born (thankfully our homebirth was in the house instead of in the 5th wheel trailer we had been staying in! That would have been a story!). Since then we have been busy with continuing projects and taking care of kiddos (an almost 8 year old son, a 4 1/2 year old son and our now 1 1/2 year old daughter). I also homeschool, blog and teach on essential oils, natural living & homeschooling, so it's been go, go, go, as you can imagine!

This year we finally feel ready to start taking on more homesteading types of projects, getting a big garden going, canning and so forth, and Mary Janes Farm seems like the perfect thing to get me focused on this new part of our adventure! I'm hoping to officially join the Farmgirl Sisterhood soon and start earning badges.

I'm looking forward to learning and meeting more of you along the way!

Hi there from another Eastern Washington farm girl. I don't get a chance to visit much these days but popped in tonight and saw your post. Welcome!

Dalyn (QueenofQuiteaLot) didn't I recently hear of a field trip being planned to your farm?
