I was very sad to hear the news this morning about her passing. Yet, she lived an incredibly full life and was surrounded by her loved ones at the end. Who can ask for more then that?

My sons loved her films too and we always watch them when they are on cable. Shirley will live forever in the hearts of anyone who has ever seen her movies or were touched by her political life. She was incredibly talented, classy, and beautiful inside & out.

My God bless her and help her loved ones deal with their loss.

So sad. I have all her movies from when she was young and watch them over and over.
RIP.

You know, when I was watching the news programs this morning with all the clips from her movie reels, every single time she smiled, sang and danced across the screen, I found myself grinning right along with her, and longing for that simpler, happier time. What a wonderful gift she was, and what an incredible legacy she has left for us. Such a sweet little cutie; such a dear, precious and courageous lady. A true blessing. God bless and rest her soul!

I loved her movies too. Haven't really seen any since I was a kid.
And believe it or not I didn't know she was still alive.
She led a good full life...and touched many hearts and other lives.

Hugs,
Peggy

Shirley was a vary talented child star and a politician. Just loved all her movies, the smiles, dancing. Always can cheer you up. Sad to hear of her passing, but will be in our hearts.

This is sad news. I love Shirley Temple. I loved her movies even when she was older. The Bachelor and the Bobby Soxer is one of my favorites as well as Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm.

What were your favorites?

Yes, I was sad to hear this, too. I have so many happy memories of watching her movies with my mom on rainy days. We'd sit in her bedroom and sometimes she'd sew and I would look at all her buttons in her button jar. My mom is a twin and when she was little my grandmother died their hair blonde and curled it for a photograph so they would look like Shirley Temple! Shirley Temple brought so much happiness to so many people. She was also a diplomat, and brought attention to breast cancer before others did. What a great lady she was.

Like Nini, I think of her movies and think of a simpler time.
