Hi girls!

Does anyone here have any experience with Craftsy classes? I received an offer for 50% off the price of one class, so I took a look and there are several that sound interesting, but I'd like to make sure they're worth the time/money. Farmgirls here are so talented and knowledgeable that I just had to come pick your brains. :)

I'd be looking mainly at sewing, quilting, and crocheting classes. As a visual learner, the idea of seeing these activities performed on video as opposed to just reading books or patterns is very appealing to me.

So - anyone have any advice? Thanks in advance!

I have taken Craftsy classes and I can say that they are very good. The instructors know their subject and show every step of the process. They are excellent for a visual learner.

The drawback is that once you sign up, you will received frequent emails advertising various classes and promotions. Some of the classes are rather expensive. My advice is to wait to buy a class when the price is deeply discounted. Another problem is that they do not change or add different classes. I've seen the same ones listed for almost a year.

Overall, the classes are very informative and instructive and worth your time.

I have signed up for a couple of their classes when they were on sale. The classes look like the same ones that have been on there for a long time, so don't sweat it if you miss one. They usually have discounts every few months or so. I never could get the video to work on my computer (and I don't have issues with other video services at all) they finally did refund my money, but it sucked because I *really* wanted to take that class. I don't even bother with trying to do their classes anymore since the videos don't work for me.
