I have her dress on but it is a little tight but I will do something cute with it and put her hair and face on.

I know we all understand taking our time with this doll, I threw away, 3 half done bodies before I kept the one I finally finished! LOL!!
I have been practicing with different sizes. I got this pattern from A Tilda book from Ebay.for $5.00 -free shipping! If anyone wants a copy of this bigger doll pattern, I will be glad to mail it to you, just email me. I made this one for my cousin Melissa, who has breast cancer. She sent me this pic of her on her fireplace mantle. I crocheted her hat, I wish I could make one for a human head! LOL!!

Darlene, the pink doll has on a sandal, just a piece of craft foam with a ribbon glued to each side and a button on top. Melissa loves sandals! So that is why I added them, I like them barefoot too.

I hope you don't mind me peeking in to your topic. I saw those TILDA dolls in a Mollie Makes magazine (I think) so when I saw this thread it kind of refreshed my memory. And I had to go on a hunt for them. I just ordered the Tilda Fairytale book from Amazon and I am so excited!
I would love to know how big they are? I bought the book primarily because it has actual full sized patterns.
I do know that the fabrics used by the designer you cannot get here in the states :( but I have some pillowcase and sheet edgings crocheted by my Great Grandmother and I am thinking that my first Tilda is going to be dressed in lace my Grammie made.:)
I love that I found this thread though and I hope more of you post photos of your Tilda's. I loved looking :)

Welcome Peggy! I just discovered these dolls from Beverly's swap. I have found Tone Finnanger's books on Ebay also. The possibilities are endless!!That sounds wonderful using your grammie's pillowcases. I have found some beautiful fabric here locally and also online. I made one the size of a Barbie doll, the pattern I used from Tilda's Summer idea's made the doll 25 inches tall, like the pink one above. I have 4 of her books and each one has a different size doll pattern, so you can make so many sizes! I just have fallen in love with them!!
You will have to check back for another Tilda doll swap!

I am so glad you like her. Yes I did use a shirt. that was the fun part...I think I put her eyes to far apart but that could not be changed. But I am just glad you like her....
