On Monday's snow day here in the Midwest, I was moved to write a haiku. I thought I would share here.
Wind Chill - Forty Below Gusts sculpt frozen dunes Hot gas furnace blows warm air Just thin glass between
Want to join in? Remember the haiku form is 3 lines with 5 syllables in the first line, 7 syllables in the 2nd line, and 5 syllables in the third line. Other suggestions include nature as a subject, with the first line maybe referencing the season, and the second line having an action or verb, and the last line can express a feeling. But the rules are made to be broken!
You shall eat the fruit of the labor of your hands - You shall be happy and it shall be well with you. -Psalm 128.2 http://brightmeadowfarms.blogspot.com http://brightmeadowknits.blogspot.com

Brenda - we had never even heard of snow rollers until last night on the news! Amazing stuff! Those lights are incredible, too!
Rush sled! Zoom down hill! Smooth, cherry-red cheeks fly fast - Crash and laugh... AGAIN!

Both of those pictures were taken in my hometown, Mansfield, Ohio. I had never heard of snow rollers either - but the columns of light reflecting on ice crystals in the air caused a lot of consternation. That photo made its way to an "end times" website where they claim (falsely) that it is a sign of a coming earthquake. People in Mansfield are wondering "why us?"
Anyway, back to the haiku.... I just love what you are coming up with!

Snowrollers! How can we live so long and still hear of new natural oddities? They must have been around. Just like rainbow clouds. I saw my first one two years ago. But I am off the subject..... Beautiful photos!
