My tiel finally found the temptation of a tree with shiny things just too much this am! Glad I had my cell close by for a pic!! Took her off soon after tho as pine needles not a good thing!

I live in a suburban area apt. So she's my 'barnyard buddy'
Lol!

sooo sweet...I really miss my teils, "Freddie the free loader" adopted me from a tree in my yard many years ago, she was about 2 yrs, and lived another 23, she died in my hands, "A Bird nmamed Sue"was given to me by a lady who thought a bird would be a great pet, and she worked nights, so Sue was not happy being covered and dark during the day, he became a screamer, a few days after being with me, he was happy and learning words and songs, he passed away young, as he was a petshop bird...

I got my cockatiel, Koko, a treat stick for Christmas. He quickly made short work of it. But my parakeet hasn't touched his--he's still trying to decide if it's safe. Birds make great pets.

Tina and Cindy.....
She's about 7 yrs old. Got her from people who were moving and couldn't keep her. She was very untamed and it's taken a lot of time, frustrations and perseverance on both our parts ;)
But she is my pride and joy and has become the sweetest pet ! Really enjoy her

Blessings,
Linda

Oh what a pretty bird! How sweet that she got so curious decided to check out the decorations on your tree! I have an adopted parakeet who is my "barnyard buddy" and is allowed to fly free around the house. She was also a few years old and untamed when I got her. She lost her buddy earlier this year so she's now learning to be finger friendly...slowly but surely. Birds really do need lots of love and attention to thrive but they are such wonderful pets. There is nothing quite like being greeted with a flyby from your bird looking for a treat when you come home from work at night!

Cheers! ~ Marilyn

They make great and loving pets for sure!! The most awesome 'barnyard buddies'. Especially for us city folks :)

What an adorable pic Linda! I've always wanted a bird. They seem like great companions and funny too. I was a pet sitter and took care of a few. They always made me laugh. Your bird is a beauty!
