My cousin Melissa, who is like a daughter to me, found a lump just yesterday in her breast and is in surgery having a biopsy now. she is an only child and so is my Holly so they are like Sisters! Add her to your prayer list and I thank you with all my Heart!
She will have to have surgery, it is breast cancer. Please add her to your church's prayer list.
This is my sweet Melissa!! If you would like to send her a card, she loves hearing my stories about MJF, email me for her addy. HUGS! Her and her mom at a Breast Cancer Fundraiser earlier this year. She been active raising money for Susan g. Komen for 10 years!

I talked to Melissa today! She amazes me! she said she is trusting God, what ever his plan is!! Today is all any of us really have, no one knows what tomorrow will bring, but we know who brings tomorrow! My prayer is for peace and comfort for all her family during this time. I thank you all for praying for Melissa! XOXOXO

Thank you for keeping us in the loop Connie, I am still praying. Melissa has it right, praying for the Lord's will and trusting in Him. I do pray that it would be His will for her to be completely healed.

Melissa has to go for a MRI and meet with a plastic surgeon this week and she will have surgery the 2nd week of January. Her Dr. said while the cancer is aggressive, it is contained in the area. They are optimistic that only one breast will be removed but said, that is something that will be determined as she goes thru the Mri and other tests. So it is curable the Dr. said. of course we know !!ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE WITH GOD!!!! She will also have genetic testing for her cousins, they said, it seems it skipped a generation in our family. Please keep her on your list! One day at a time we take. Praying and trusting for God's plan.

PRAYING!!
My daughter and I have actively participated in breast cancer events for years (however, this year we didn't as we needed a break)
Our events have included the Komen 3-Day Breast Cancer Walk and
AVON Walk for Breast Cancer (2 day event, walking marathon first day and 1/2 marathon the 2nd day)
If we haven't participated as walkers we have participated as crew.

I am praying. I will wear my pink sweater tomorrow to support all the women who go through this. My cousin walked a 3-day marathon to raise money and the gift shop at our hospital sells items which help support breast cancer research.
