I live in Illinois and I've noticed that some of the farmers have left corn standing, and rotting, in the fields instead of harvesting it. We had good weather this year so I think the corn crop did pretty well. I've never seen so much corn left in the fields. All the soybean crop has been harvested, it's just the corn that puzzles me. Anyone know the reason for this? Also, the deer harvest has been down, though I've seen plenty of deer. Maybe they're hiding in the corn? Cindy

One farmer told me that the price for corn was so low that he wasn't even going to sell it. Perhaps that is why it is being left in the fields.

Wow, that's disturbing. Do you feel brave enough to maybe just ask a couple more of the farmers? I'd love to know the answer.
