I know you mentioned Jenny, she hasn't posted here for quite some time. A lot of the girls are on face book. Don't know if it has just taken up so much of their time but I do miss seeing a lot of them here. Many, many of the girls that were here when you were seem to have left us.

I have been on facebook myself and when my husband got sick it was a place where I could quickly communicate with family and friends from my hometown. but it isn't a substitute for this site. they aren't anything alike really. I did see aunt jenny on facebook and she got married so maybe she will return. hope so. I also miss nance in france and haven't been able to relocate her either.

Hi Frannie..welcome back! I remember you by your pic in your signature. Always thought it so cute. :) I am also back after a long hiatus. Sorry to hear about your hubby. I too was with my hubby full time in his last year. He was diagnosed with Acute Lymphositic Leukemia on our 30th wedding anniversary. I will keep you both in my prayers. How you dealin with this COOLD? I'm in Dallas....hope we can meet someday!

omg that is great that you are so close. I am sorry to hear about your husband as well. I hope we can meet sometime too. we have not lost our electricity how about you. but we are ajust a little cold. not bad though. thanks for the welcome

we are at least 70 miles depending on where you are in dallas. i have children in plano and also a good friend in oak cliff so i usually travel to those places. oops, i wasn't paying attention , i see you are in Addison. how long have you been in that area.. i have lived in north texas for over 40 years but i am a transplant from Galveston county.

My son lives in Oak Cliff! Small world isn't it! How's hubby doing? Hope you are taking care of yourself......caregiving can be draining, even for someone you love.

yes it can, mel. my hubby will be starting a new round of radiation, his 3rd since july. he has a metastic cancer to the bone and it moves pretty quickly. where does your son live in oak cliff, my friends live in winetka heights and have been there for 30+years. I love to visit there.
