We put our Rams out this week so that means lambs in about 5 months. The girls are already counting the days :)
When you do you have farm babies?

We calve in the spring time. Acutally I just weaned calves on Sunday. Brought everyone down from pasture, so had a lot of crying going on. Everyone is eating good, and some of the calves are already up to the feed bunk.

just a girl farming in WI

I plan for Niggie kids in December and January. Here in South Texas that is the time of year the flies are a problem, and the girls want to stay inside the barn with the heat lamps on cooler days. Milking starts about 1 month after kidding, DH likes for the kids to get off to a "good start" before we start "sharing" the milk. Also, leavings no milking chores over the holidays.

When you free your mind your heart can fly. Farmgirl # 714,
