Gotta get at least one new tire and one new wheel before she goes very far, so I'm on the hunt for those things! And, when we go it probably won't be far . . . and I know my daughter and glamping partner won't be able to join me! Hopefully in September I can take her out!

Boy howdy . . . was scrolling through the "before" pics on page one . . . I'd almost forgotten how she looked when I bought her!

Today, I'm about to finish repainting the propane tanks. Ivory to match the trailer and Robin is going to design a simple Scottish thistle design to paint on them at some point, which will be in the matching plum color.
Getting there!

A sweet friend gifted me with this lovely set of ivory colored embroidered cutwork napkins and glamper trailer brass napkin rings.
They are perfect for the theme of the "Reiver's Rest"!

Found this fireplace screen at the local salvage yard . . paid $3.00 for it. They can be used to hide tongues/hitches on your glamper. We'll see how this all works out!
CJ

P.S. I know, I know . . . you can see through it so it'll need something done to it at some point!

Finally, something to pull the "Reiver's Rest" with! 2005 GMC Envoy we found on Craigslist for a decent price, in great condition. Did a LOT of checking it out, had a relative check it out and drive it for us (it was in Rio Rancho, NM which is a 4-hr. drive one-way for us). Seller easy to deal with. Drove to Rio Rancho yesterday, did our business and drove it back . . .LLLOOONNNGGGG DAY! But we didn't want to do an overnighter. So, just a few little things to finish up and we can roll . . . unfortunately, glamping season is pretty much over in my neck of the woods! But wait until spring . . Arizona, here we cone!

CJ,
It has been so fun to see the transformation and all the things you have done and created! Beautiful vehicle to pull her with. Bet you can't wait to get on the road. Look forward to hearing of your travels when the time comes!

Good news CJ! I was hoping you'd find something that's the perfect fit. The only thing left to do now is fill in the blanks on your glamping 2015 calendar. Wishing you many happy trips, campfire dinners, sunsets, sunrises ...

Thanks girls! In the first picture of the front of the Envoy, can you see the "Reiver's Rest" to the left side . . PATIENTLY waiting!

I'm not crazy about dark colored vehicles because we live on a gravel road in a rural farming/ranching community with lots of dust, mud and muck (in the spring with the wind and rain we get what the locals call "mud rain") . . . dark colors show that stuff something fierce. But, oh well!

Gotta get some Colorado license plates on her . . the green/white ones with the mountains! Perfect color! I got a temporary New Mexico tag to drive her home . . . have a few days to get her registered and licensed in Colorado.

Well, I got my title application submitted and got my green and white Colorado mountain license plates . . YAY!!!
The bug-a-boo? Since this vehicle has always been licensed in New Mexico where no front plate is required it's never had the bracket/holder put on the front for that plate. Darned if we can mount the front license plate without fashioning something . . or buying an expensive holder. The front plate IS required in Colorado! What an aggravation!! ARGH! My handy hubby will get it figured out tomorrow!

Hubby did figure it out and made a bracket, but we had to buy some expensive retainers (two little plastic things) to secure it to the bumper. He was rather frustrated! Just mounting a license plate should NOT be so complicated . . . good grief!
But it's done and I told him I'd not ask him to do anything else for me today! :D
He's a good guy!

The "Reiver's Rest" has been patiently waiting for glamping time to come . . . it's coming.

FINALLY, I have been able to make flower boxes for her to hang under each window. I used some of the textured aluminum I pulled off of an older camper we demolished, to make the boxes. Soooooo, as soon as I get the flowers in them I'll post some pics.

I'm using silk flowers because I don't want the weight of potting soil, etc. nor the worry of keeping flowers alive, watered and cared for.

So, pretty soon I'll have those ready to go!
YAY!

Have to make an adjustment for the box on the back window . . . the spare tire creates a bit of an obstacle. Oh well! Gotta have the spare tire! Boxes will only be hung when the trailer is parked and set up anyway!

Thanks Rose and Penny!
Penny, I hope you saw all the pics in this thread.
I haven't finished the boxes yet as I've been working on some outdoor projects while we have unusually dry and warm weather. The boxes are done, it's just a matter of arranging the flowers in them.

Sooooo, keep checking back!
Thanks for looking and letting me share!

Getting lots of heavy wet snow the past couple of days . . . very much needed in the dry southwest.

BUT, I figured that all of that heavy wetness didn't need to sit on the roof of the "Reiver's Rest", so I muscled it off. I mean "muscled" too, because "wet" snow is heavy!
