Marybeth - I have the same problem, image from the camera doesn't seem to match the image I see in the mirror.

I have had a nice little digital camera for several years but have gotten brave enough only in the last couple of weeks to take it off the automatic setting. I am going to try to get creative and learn a new function of my camera for each of these challenges. I'm also going to try to do as many as I can on my own property.

Can't wait to get started - this should be fun!

Here is my self-portrait. I had my husband take it.

I think I need more light.

I haven't disappeared and I have some photos to post... We moved from Ohio to NC on Thursday and my home internet is just getting taken care of today! I started my new job this morning as well... Quite a lot going on in our house the last few days.

It's so good to be close to my mom again!

Hear is my self-portrait. My camera has more features than I knew about.
May the stars carry your sadness away. May the flowers fill your heart with beauty, and may hope forever wipe away your tears.

Hay ya'll. I said I wanted to do this challenge but had a problem attaching photos. However, I have a new blog ( poorhouseparadise.blogspot.com ) and I have been posting photos and a short story every Wednesday. I don't know if you want to visit it or not but I do hope it will work for this challenge.

Hugs and prayers,

Hi everyone,
I just put my camera on a tripod and used my new remote control. If I look like I need another cup of coffee, I do....

I tried to use the timer and get a picture with one of my cows, but they don't hold still. Here's one my husband took. I would have zoomed a little closer, but he wanted to get the plane too. (It's a B-17 bomber that is being built).

I'm not sure why my picture uploads a little blurry. It doesn't on my computer or camera. I tried to edit it and here's what it did.

Just grab a camera and do it! I've owned my camera for a long time and never explored its features. Now I have to and I'm very excited to learn new things!

Sorry for disappearing y'all. I've been exhausted and working and sleeping!

I'll finish my self portrait tomorrow at work, my truck is going to work with me.

The next challenge is Autumn - whatever autumn means to you.

This is Kathy's daughter, stefffic posting for her.

Mom had to get the tripod out and use it and she learned to use the delay shutter setting and take it out of automatic light mode and into a different light mode.

One thing I'm running into is my camera is so heavy I'm afraid that my tripod won't support it. It weighs a little over 5lbs with the flash and lens. :(

Susan - As Sylvia said - just grab your camera and join in.

I've had my camera for a long time and just never got around to exploring it abilities. I'm going to try to learn something new with each challenge. I'm also going to keep each of these weekly photos together in a file so I can see what I've learned and if I have made improvements along the way. But most of all, I'm going to have fun!

I think I got us a week behind!

And, my photo didn't get done today because I left the memory card at momma's last night! I have it back now.

Yes, let's do the autumn photo by the 16th. :)
