Has anyone tried baking desserts in canning jars? This was featured in a recent issue of MJB's magazine and I picked up a very cute book on the topic with what look like some very simple yet delicious recipes.

Before I start on this venture, I'd love to hear from anyone who has tried them already. What are the pitfalls to avoid? What worked really well?

The first one from the book that I'm going to try has a chocolate cake that when it is still warm you top it with a peanut-butter spread and then melted chocolate on top so it makes a Reese's peanut butter cup on top of the cake when it cools and the chocolate hardens. I'm just about slobbering as I type this!
