I need some spiritual relief. Here's the situation: a business is lying to me and taking advantage of me and I've called a local station and a lawyer. Just called them tonight so I haven't heard back yet. This salesman from this business pressured me into signing a contract and I'm now finding out that he lied to me and they're saying I can't get out of the contract. But get this: after these salespeople had left town (they were here a couple days), this company was banned from ever coming back to my city cause the police got all kinds of complaints about them. I talked on the phone to a specialist from this company and she said of its salesmen :"Sometimes they do lie." I wish I'd been able to record it. But my cellphone is very basic and doesn't have that technology. I have an elderly friend whom they also conned. She also wants out of the contract. I have a disability and my friend is 84. so this company is obviously preying on people whom they think they can con. I know that Illinois has laws protecting the disabled; I don't know all the details but I do know that Illinois is a lot tougher on those who take advantage of the disabled than most states. I don't know as much about laws protecting the elderly. So I've got the ball rolling and I'm going to pursue it all the way. There's more but that's all I can say right now. Please keep me in your prayers. this really hurts, and I'm not talking just about the money involved. It's personal. These people are about as low as they come. It just infuriates me that people can stoop so low. I know there are bad people out there; usually I'm able to recognize them. But this guy took advantage of the grief I was feeling for a friend of mine who had died. Thank you for your prayers, Cindy

I believe that any contract can be ended in 72 hrs of signing, that clause has to be in the contract that you signed...

It's been more than 3 days since I signed the contract. The salesman tols me I could cancel at anytime and wouldn't owe a dime (a flat out lie). He told me friend the same. By the time I actually read through all the info. in this contract, it was too late to cancel. I checked on-line and this company has an F rating. It's for an alarm system. He also lied about how it works. He said it doesn't go through the telephone line but after reading all this stuff, I'm sure it does. I'm going to have someone from the phone company come out and verify that it does go through the phone line. I know of another elderly neighbor who was conned into signing it. And there's a couple of other people that I think got it and I'm going to ask how they feel about it. If I can get four or five people going together to take on this company I'll have better luck. also I'm not sure if the contract is valid since my mom is listed as a homeowner of my home as well(she doesn't live there but she co-signed the mortgage loan). He said he didn't need her signature. I've had salespeople--legitimate salespeople--come to my home before and they always said that my mom would also have to sign. Haven;t heard from the lawyer so I guess I'll call a lawyer where the consultation is free. It doesn;t bother me if I have to pay a lawyer; I'd rather pay him than this lying, rip-off, excuse for a business. Cindy

Cindy you will be in my prayers and so will the other people who this company conned.
I received a scam letter in the mail recently from "Green net company or something similar and they sent a check for $3,990. and wanted me to be a mystery shopper at Walgreens, Walmart or CVS and I got suspicious and looked on line and found that they had sent these letters to other people so I looked at the check and it was made out from Delta Dental from St. Louis and so I found the Better Business Bureau and emailed them a complaint letter and they emailed me back thanks for letting them know what was going on there. People are so mean.
I definitely will pray for you Cindy that you will get this cleared up.
blessings darlene

That's strange that you got a bogus check through Delta Dental. They are my company's dental provider. Cindy
