I want to thank everyone for the thoughts prayers and emails you have sent to me...Sweet Kitty passed away Saturday afternoon...no more suffering...now at peace...hopefully chasing butterflies:):):)This is the hardest time I have ever faced with a pet...the only house pet I have ever had...things are not the same here at home...but God is with me and my family...He will take care of all of the hurt and loss...please continue to remember us in your prayers...We plan on opening our home to another sweet kitty very soon...please pray that God sends us the one that needs the most love and care...a special thanks to Jenny(auntsmelly)she has been here with me every step of the way through this horrible loss...you are one special friend:)
I want to thank everyone for their prayers for my sweet kitty. Took him to the vet again today(Tuesday). Still has a little bit of a fever...got a new antibiotic...an oral type to be taken once daily and a type of kitty nourishment somewhat like Ensure for people. He hates the medicine but tolerates the food. He is drinking more thankfully. He has to go back to the kitty doctor next week. He does seem a bit better. I am thankful for every good sign. Please continue to keep him in your prayers. He has rested much of the day...but is breathing somewhat easier.
It's Sunday evening and he has not had an appetite or wanted water today. Feeding him through a syringe. Please continue to pray for him.
Please pray for my sweet kitty. For some reason he has a kinda fast and hard heart beat tonight. He has not had any health problems so pray that God puts everything back to normal for him.
I want to thank everyone for their prayers:)
Took my sweet Kitty to the vet today. He had a viral infection(described to me like someone having bronchitis)with a temp of 104.4(102 normal for cats)...sad to say he was also diagnosed with feline leukemia. The vet says he appears really healthy otherwise and prayerfully this can be managed with the right care. It is like a human having a low immune system...but she did give me great hope that everything will be OK. She says she has a cat with feline leukemia and she has had it for over 10 years and for the most part is healthy much of the time. He got IV fluids and an antibiotic shot that is good for 10 days. Says he should be up and about in 2 to 3 days. Please continue to pray for him. I love him so much.

Sorry Judy your kitty has that disease. I have many rescues and have been down that road. Some cats do live with this for many years and can be managed.The shot they give them that last 10 days is a really good antibiotic. My vet has given my cats that shot too. I hope your kitty gets to feeling better fast. They sure can worry us something fierce. Prayers to your kitty and you.

Hi Judy,
My sisters kitty was diagnosed with the same but lived for several years. However, it was happiest sleeping most of the time buried under the comforter in her bed and would only come out once in awhile. It did eat but not much. We always thought for sure each month that it was going to die, but she always just slept through it all. It was just hard to watch her lie so limp and not be around anyone. I particularly thought it had no quality of life and would have put it down, but my sister did not agree and took good care of her cat giving it love and pets. So it is a personal decision to euthanize. Many people do not believe in taking life no matter what the circumstances. Anyway, I hope you see good results and improvement in your kitty. My kitty died from the cat food being tainted with the plastic protein a few years ago. So I got another kitty last year. They are such sweet companions. Annie

Thank you so much for your words of comfort. Please keep my sweet kitty in your prayers...I will be calling the vet on Tuesday morning to see if there is more they can do to help him get over the infection and get his appetite back. He seemed some better earlier today and was up and about...maybe just tired himself out for the day.

Oh Judy ,so sorry to hear about your kitty. I will pray for you and your kitty. Please be strong in this difficult time. I know that you will be there for your kitty and do everything possible. Because that 's what good mommies do. Talk to your kitty and tell him how sweet he is. I lost my sweet loveable kitty about 4 months ago due to another type of blood disorder. I will keep on praying Judy. Great big farmgirl HUGS.
