So glad to hear she is doing so well. I am glad the yucky surgery and stuff is over. She can now just be your best new furbuddy. So glad everything went so well. Congrats Ceejay. Big hug to you both.

Couple of pics my hubby took yesterday.

Silky was VERY content to just snuggle in my lap, purring. She stayed there for a long time. After the pic, she just melted down even more!

She has decided she likes my sewing chair! She's spent a lot of nap time in it. Shaved belly and all!! Here she was washing her face . . that's why her ear is bent back!

She seems to enjoy romping around the utility room playing with her ball and spool and then settling down for naps . . . like all good kitties do!
Doing good!

CJ,
I am so happy to read and see that Silky is settling in so nicely. I am so happy for all of you. Silky is a very lucky kitty to have you for her human mamma, and I know she will be spoiled greatly!
Thanks for sharing new pictures of her.
Hugs,

Last evening, while I was watching TV, Silky was cozy and content in my lap, snoozing away for over an hour!
Today we've had a few moments of the same through the day!
She is enjoying that little striped ball too!

This evening, my hubby and I were eating supper on our deck. Silky does really well just roaming loose in our utilty room which is where she was . . until hubby went in and left the back door open.
Silky raced out and across the deck and a few few of the yard to an aspen tree and did not waste any time climbing the tree several feet higher than I could reach.
She looked down at me and told me all about it. Then she started her descent, slipped a bit and ended up hooking herself with one claw on one paw into the other paw OVER a branch. So she was just hanging there, yowling in pain, having "hooked herself". She was low enough now that I could reach her and unhook her. She's okay . . . silly cat!

Enjoying her more and more!

Silky enjoys sitting in the window sills looking outside. This is at the back of the couch in the living room.

For now, until she gets more mature and things are more settled, etc., etc. this is how she spends time outside. Exception is when I'm holding and petting her.

Silky decided she liked this perch. I had fabric there and she insisted on being there so I moved the fabric and replaced it with a towel. She can keep a close eye on me while I'm sewing . . . about three feet away!

For all you cat farmgirls, thanks for letting me share. I'm probably driving some of you crazy.

Silky has moved into the basket that belonged to Skye. After it became apparent Skye wouldn't be returning, I made her basket into a place to put winter mittens, gloves, scarves, hats, earmuffs, etc. So, that's what is still in there . . . under Silky. No worries!

Thanks!
CJ
P.S. Sorry the pic is so fuzzy . .

I like Silky..She seems like a happy kitty cat. I have a calico kitty named Misty. She has been in the house with me for 5 years. She loves to sleep in the window sill in my bedroom or either on the back of my couch. She keeps a close eye on me. She loves to play with Baxter the Boston Terrier. Have fun with Silky the cat!!!She so darn cute.

CJ,

Please keep the pictures coming...I love to see a happy kitty...your posts and pictures remind me so much of my Sweet Kitty...I still remember all the sweet and funny things he would do...he loved boxes and baskets and heights...one day I couldn't find him anywhere...I kept calling and he never came to me which was very unusual...I was in the kitchen...looked up for some reason and he was on top of the refrigerator just lying there looking at me...he was such a silly cat...give Silky another big hug for me...

Hugs!

Judy

This morning? Chasing spiders in the bathtub. I'm sure she'd bail out of there in a flash if I turned the shower water on! :D

Love hearing about Silky. I put a toy in the mail for her. You should receive it soon.
Had to share a photo of my gorgeous orange boy, Clem. He's looking at a bug on
the ceiling!

Jenny,
What a handsome fellow that Clem! Thanks for sharing!!
Aren't cats just so fun to watch. Thanks, also for the little toy you've sent, appreciated!

Silky checks the bathtub out regularly now. She's also getting to know me more and more as her "cat momma".
What fun!

I agree, CJ--cats are awesome and fun to watch.
My friend is fostering 7 little kittens and boy, they are ball of
furry energy. You have to watch where you walk- always a kitty
underfoot.
Your Silky is just beautiful! So glad she's yours!
