Patsy - All I've ever done is wash them, core them and the put them in baggies to freeze them. Works just fine for me, but I'm not sure if that's how it's supposed to be done... Hugs - Nini

If you put them on a cookie sheet to freeze they stay seperated and you just grab what you want to cook.

Give thanks to yourself everyday for all the wonderful things you do!

I didn't core mine, just froze on cookie sheet unpeeled and then into bags like Ingrid. As they start thaw, the skin slips right off. I'm making spaghetti sauce with most of mine that are left over from last year.

Thanks Nancy,
I just bought a half bushel of organic tomatoes from a local truck farm. I hope I don't eat too many before freezing.
