Llamas are used a lot in our part of the country. Our neighbors use a donkey for sheep and goats. However, the mountain lions are still around . . they are getting the sheep AND killed our llama (he was not guarding anything, was 23 years old and, we think, just recently went deaf) It's hard to know the best thing but most folks around here would vote for the llama.
