Hey farmgirls! I would like to know if anybody would be willing to send information or fun stuff to my children from your state. We are going to be studying the 50 states and would love it if were from you all. I know that this is asking a lot. Let me know if you are willing and I will send you my address. Thanks girls!

Girls we got all your packages! We have had so much fun going through them. Thank you so much for giving to my children! We are going to be sending out thank you cards out to you this week. I've been teaching them about that too. I truly believe that's something all children should learn. Thank you girls again!!

Hello,
I wanted to share this genius tidbit from my Geography teacher back when I was in highschool. When we were studying the states, she had us find a city in at least one state that was named the same as we were... so mine would have been Laura, *state*. If no cities were named that (which for me, there were no Lauras), we could edit it a little (Laurel, Lorel, etc.). After we chose our city, or cities, we would then write a letter to the postmaster in that city and ask for interesting facts on their town or city. If we got replies, we chose one and wrote a report on the state, using the city / town as an example in our report.
It was a VERY fun project for me... but then, I love to write.
