I planted peppermint this year and was looking forward to
lots of peppermint tea this winter. However when I dried a batch a few weeks ago, it did not have much minty flavor. I had bought a bag at our State Farm Show and it is so good. What went wrong? Do I need a specific type of peppermint plant? Did I dry it wrong? Any suggestions? Thank you to all.

Gosh, I haven't a guess. I would have the same expectations that you had.

If they were patented seeds or start ups, they won't have near as good a flavor. Make sure you get organic, or heirloom seeds and plants. :)

Thanks Christen for sharing. I guess it makes sense. Heirloom seeds are always the best.
