Thank you Mary Beth! I'm truly sorry for the trauma to your family, but soooooo totally understand it, as we've been there. Victims of burglary and arson.
BUT, we've known all along that God is in control and HE IS THERE! He has proven that to us time and time again . . . sometimes we just need reminders!
Thank you and God Bless you!

So powerful. Mary Beth, throughout your blog posts, I always seem to hear and feel my own sentiments. Every time I read them, I think what kindred spirits we are. Just as I feel with many of our other farmgirl sisters, I can't help but feel if you and I lived closer, we'd be a couple of the best of back-door friends. :) I feel so badly you and your family are still going through such trying times. Thank you for sharing all of your insight and wisdom with us - you are right on the money, to be sure. And thanks for the Berkey info, too - I have been trying to decide which one to get, and now I know! :) You are such an inspiration - God bless you... and your family and community! Hugs - Nini

Oh my gosh, Nini. You are such a doll. And YES!! I wish we lived closer together!! There are so many FGs who are kindred spirits. I just wish we all lived in one big community. Well...would that be a commune, then?? :-) We absolutely love our Berkey and if you are on fluoride water, you should get the filter for that to include. We are on well water so it isn't a problem. Did you know that they sent Berkeys over to Japan after the tsunami and earthquake so that people could drink pond, rain or any other kind of water? It's that thorough!

Wow Mary Beth, so much has happened in your life and in your community in the past several months.
First I want to say that I am so happy to hear that your DD is safe, and that ordeal is over with- I can only imagine how terrifying that must have been.
Second, I continue to pray for the healing for your community. It is amazing through tragedy, all of the good that surfaces isn't it?
Your post just shows that you have a handle on how to deal with/where you stand in tough situations- you GO GIRL!
Thank you for a truly eye opening post- one that makes you sit back and really THINK!
Blessings to you and your family!
And PS- I'm with you- I hope those intruders are suffering from hand/foot/mouth as we speak! LOL
Hugs,

~Laurie

Mary Beth, I am wrapping my arms around you for a BIG hug. I am SO sorry for what all of you, your family and community have been going thru. So glad your DD is OK. You are right on target that we think we can plan (I am a big planner, trying to keep everyone "safe" thru any emergency) but we all know that we are human and GOD is in control. Safe is an illusion. It is GOD that provides and cares and comforts. Thank you for your post. I so enjoy your blog, always. Take care and hug DD for me too. Joey
