Has anyone tried using baking soda /peroxide /dawn dish soap for stain removal on colored clothes? I'm trying it on whites. Just concerned about peroxide bleaching colored clothes.

I use cloth/flannel menstrual pads, and wear microfiber or cotton panties. Most my pads are black/red/white. And my panties stash for menstruation are black/brown/red/white. I use a bucket to soak them all in. I rinse out as much blood as I can in the sink, then I pour/spray peroxide directly on any blood I couldn't rinse out, and I cover with water in the bucket, till wash. That's usually the duration of my period, about 4 to 5 days. When I wash in the machine, all blood comes out, I never have staining, and so far no bleaching. And I've been doing it this way for decades.

Lorena, peroxide is great for blood stains, but can cause whites to yellow if you use it too much. Have you heard of the grime remover made from warm vinegar and Dawn? It's great for laundry stains too.

Heather, do you make or buy your pads?
