I hope to host this swap again next February to promote awareness on women's health issues. So many beautiful ladies' photographs were swapped. I thought I would remind you that in your traveling around this summer be on the lookout for old photographs or postcards of ladies. If you are visiting families ask about making copies of old photos. I visited a small antique shop last week. I found some lovely ladies pictures. I hope to use some of them in the swap. Sad. I know somewhere family members would love to have the pictures. Have a wonderful and safe summer. I have attached one of those postcards. .jpg)

I would love to do this swap again Patsy....I just wish I knew that my partner had ever received my swap! I still have plenty of photos to share though!

Patsy...I had to bale out on this Swap last time...but want to for sure do it this coming year. I followed
the Swap Posts and Just Loved them all.

There is an antique store in my hometown that has a bunch of old pictures like the one you posted - can someone fill me in on what this swap was about? Many times I have seen the pictures and wondered what I could do with them. Sounds like this swap might be the answer.

The Ladies Vintage Photo swap last February was to become more aware of women's health issues. There is a time set aside in January and February dedicated to becoming more knowledgeable of women's heart issues. My doctor told me last year that heart disease is the silent killer of women. He said that our bodies sometimes hide this deadly condition. I have so many old pictures and postcards of family members that an idea sparked in my head. Let's encourage each other about learning more on this subject of heart disease.
So this swap was started. You were to use pre 1940 black and white photos or postcards Write a short story on the back about the person. If you purchased the picture somewhere else, write where you purchased it. If you used a photo from your family and didn't know the name or any info you could state that also.
The photos or postcard were to be decorated in red when sent to your partner.
We had so much fun doing this. The pictures and stories were awesome. I think you will like this swap. Now if we can just wait until February.

Go to the Farmgirl swap forum, go to page 2, then locate the thread Ladies' Vintage Photo Swap Partners Posted. There are 5 pages in this thread. The last pages have beautiful pictures and stories pertaining to this swap. I think you will find it enjoyable reading. I loved reading it again.

Patsy..I too would like to do the swap again..and hope I get a return swap...at least to know it was received...I look at pictures of the past and am in awe of the strong women they had to be and did not know any other way..it was what it was..bless their hearts..they didn't know so many years later,,,tributes would be paid to them in the way of photos of the past...and yes health issues, we as women, are still faced with..Blessings farm girls.. I will look forward to another swap..and will be on the lookout for just the right photo!!

Women's Heart Awareness is such an important topic and what a great
way to make others aware of it. I'll be keeping my eyes open for
