We have lost 3 chickens in 4 days to a predator that we first suspected was a raccoon but now I am wondering. Do any of you know what would devour the entire chicken but for the feet, beak and heart. No mess left and very few feathers remaining?

thanks

I wonder why they don't eat the heart.

I think you are right it is not a raccoon because they leave the bones. I have no idea. A mink would eat the whole thing I think . I coyote would carry it off and eat it elsewhere. Call your nature center or extension service and ask them.

We had something climb in through the eaves of our chicken house last night and eat all of one and parts of five others. I put chicken wire over the eaves today. Hope it solves the problem.
