multiblade razors may give a smoother shave, but they also promote razor burn by pulling hair and cutting it below the skin. When the hair grows back, it may do so at a curve, causing painful bumps.
Use a single or double blad razor, and always shav ein the directions in which teh hair grows.

Think I'll stick with the double-edge razors and take my chances. I still have the scars to show from those old, drop-in, single blade razors. The didn't just nick the skin, they took out a chunk!!!

HA! This brings back memories of skimming off a ribbon of skin from my shin using the old style razors. Man, I bled like crazy and had a most interesting scar for quite some time. I'm sticking with the twin blade also but this was an interesting factoid. I'll have to change my shaving direction!
