If anyone know this, it's one of my farmgirls!

I've been looking at a treadle machine. The Janomes look really nice - very similar to the electric machine I have now (which is a Singer Stylist). Sadly these do not come with a table.

For those of you who treadle, where do you get your cabinets? Can you recommend a brand/retailer/etc.? OR should I consider a different brand of machine?

Right now, I'm only looking. From what I've seen so far, I'm going to have to really budget for this. So, if you also know of something more reasonably priced that I haven't considered, please feel free to add your 5 cents (I'd say 2 cents, but farmgirl knowledge is far more valuable )

Thanks to one and all!

there's tons of tables on Craig's List at all different price ranges. For new Lehman's sells them.

Ann you can find many on ebay too. I know there are reproductions out there, but an old singer 66 red eye treadle would be perfect. they sew beautifully, are easy to thread, the bobbin is a drop in style (in my opinion the easiest type). you can find original treadles with their tables. belts and parts are easy to find, just let me know if your looking for parts. As Heather mentioned, craigslist is an excellent place to look to. i bought my 1917 singer 66 red eye treadle for 100.00 on craigslist.

Too bad we live so far apart, i have 2 treadles for sale, and i dont ship them because they are too big.
