If you follow my blog, you already know that my 16 yo dd's dog had surgery for a mass in his foot.

The mass was sent out and yesterday I found out that Jesse does NOT have cancer. He does have cellulitus.

It can be caused by a previous puncture to the area. After talking it over with the vet, the two punctures (identical) could be a snake bite.

So, he's going back to the vet tomorrow for medication.

Must have been a black water snake, from what we've seen here.

I'm just thankful it was not cancer.

So glad it was not cancer. With meds he should heal up fine. Good for him and your family.

Oh Kristina,
So glad to hear it is not cancer. Our kitty got cellulitus from her vaccine last year when she was still a kitten. Scared us all to death as we've lost so many animals from cancer. Nice to see some good news.
Keep us posted.

Hugs,
Nicole
