I looked up Elmore on a google search and it is an Irish surname of some men who arrived in the late 1600's or early 1700's. The name seems to appear in many states as the migration happened across the country. Here Elmore is a small town located around a lake and a mountain. It is a small vacation community and really does not have much else to recommend it. They do continue to have their own small school house that is K to 4.

Thank you, for the Vermont postcard, Holly! That stone truck is pretty cool. DH says someone had a lot of time on their hands. It made me smile. Vermont does look like such a beautiful state. I'd love to visit there.

The stone truck was built by a man who is a sculptor. He went onto one of those sites that people can send you money to complete your project. On the back window of the cab are etched the names of the people who sent money for the truck. I think it took him a week or so to make the truck.

Holly, thanks for the info on the stone truck! I'll tell DH right away! I'll never be an artist (not very creative); but, will always be an appreciator of artists! We are needed too.

I got a Beautiful Ohio Wildflowers Postcard in the mail yesterday from Margo.

I think that is one of the prettiest postcards Margo...but then again...I am a Flower "Freak"! LOL
I love flowers and Photograph a bazillion of them a year.

My mom whom I am not real close to (no warm fuzzies between us)did pass on to me her love for flowers
and gardening and her love for books and reading. For those two things alone...I am eternally
grateful to her.

Love and Hugs,
Peggy

Hi Everyone,

Sorry I haven't posted in awhile. I have been busy either watering, weeding, picking, or canning food. Plus my son got married this week.

Here is a thank you and list of all the Post Cards since my last posting.

CJ Armstrong- Love the pic of your road trip. How fun to go to see Mary Jane and the farm.

Joey- Honeymoon Island looks lovely and inviting.

Kristina- I really enjoy lighthouses. I have seen most of them around Michigan, but not the ones in Ohio.

Peggy- Your Post Card could be a picture of the Tulip Festival in Holland Michigan. There are never enough flowers in the world.

Holly- Vermont must be just gorgeous in the Fall. What a great truck.

So far I have received 23 Post Cards. Hope none got lost in the mail.
This has been great

Brenda

Today I got a Postcard from Tall Holly from Vermont. I loved the bucolic scene with the Church Steeple
and homes nestled right under the trees. Very Pretty! And that Round Barn was so cool!! The Truck was
interesting and interesting is good! LOL Do Moose really travel through there a lot???

blessings and hugs,
Peggy

I received three lovely post cards and they are so pretty and tell so much of the area they are from, 1 from Joey showing Dunedin Florida and Honeymoon Island, 2. from Margo one of Ohio's wildflowers and 3 from Holly from Central Vermont showing some neat sites in Vermont. Love that stone car.
Thanks for the post cards and I can hardly wait to see the others.
hugs
