Shaina's mom just posted a Big Thank you to all who have sent and are continuing to send her mail. She loves it. It arrives everyday and makes her very happy.

Good evening everyone,
Shaina seems to be doing better. It was youth hunting weekend here in Vermont. Shaina shot her first deer! I guess she is feeling well enough to get up early, trek through the woods and sit quietly.
I hope she continues on her way to good health.

My partner saw Shaina's mom at the dump this morning. They removed IV from Shaina but she has to drink 60 ounces of fluid a day. Her magnesium is low. She tires easily. They are slowly taking her off the rejection drugs. However, she is well enough that her mom could leave her alone at home for a half hour.

Good evening everyone,
Shaina has not been feeling well this weekend so instead of going to the Monday appointment in Burlington it will again be in Boston. They were trying to change her appointments to Burlington because it is only an hour away instead of three. I guess when her mom was seen at the dump they needed the trash taken care of more than Shaina was well enough to be left alone. I hope this is not a set back for Shaina.

Good evening,
Even though Shaina was not feeling well the doctors said she is doing well. She will have down days but her overall health is improving. I am so relieved.

Shaina goes to the doctor's on Mondays. She had her pic line removed. They are still lowering her rejection drugs slowly so her system will handle more of the day to day living. She still needs to drink a lot of fluids because her kidneys are not functioning as well as they should, yet.

What an emotional roller coaster this cancer journey is. Shaina has not been feeling well for a few days so she and her mom drove to Boston today. I have not heard yet what the doctors had to say.
Please keep her an her family in your thoughts of hope and recovery.
