Hello,
Shaina's family prefers that everyone keep sending mail to her house and it will be forwarded to her at the hospital.
She went into the hospital last Tuesday to get ready for the bone marrow transplant. Her sister will be the donor and she will go in next week I think. Her sister will be a senior in high school this year. K was in my Brownie and Jr GS troop so long ago.

So glad to hear from you and thanks for posting about Shaina. Please let her family know that the ladies on the site are still asking about her and most definitely praying for her. We will be praying for her sister also and that God blesses the transplant to be a success.

I will put Shaina's sister in my prayer for what she is doing for Shaina. That is such a strong love she has to do that. It is so wonderful that soon the transplant will be a great success.

Hello everyone,
I have sent Judy Shaina's snail mail address at the hospital. Her mom posted it on her facebook page. I do not have Facebook so the address was given to me.
Today is the date of the bone marrow transfer. Her sister K has gone into the hospital to give her the bone marrow. I will post a copy of the Facebook post as soon as it is forwarded to me.
Their mom is a mess and very proud of her daughters. Their dad probably is as well but I do not know if he has a Facebook page to relay information. He has always been an involved Dad so we should not think he is not around because I always talk about her mom.
Hugs to you all. Her mom says MJF has been the most consistent of the senders and makes Shaina feel that people care.

Well I imagine they are all stressed out with the bone marrow transplant for both girls.
I will continue praying for all for comfort and less stress.

Hello,
It took 4 1/2 hours of surgery today to harvest a liter of bone marrow, blood and plasma from K to give to Shaina. I know it was a liter that Shaina will be receiving through an IV I am not sure what it contains. K is doing well. She is exhausted and very sore. It will take the same amount of time for the IV to drip into Shaina.

Good evening,
People have asked Shaina's mom and dad if they could do a fund raiser for them. Her mom says the most important thing right now is for Shaina to get mail to keep her spirits up. She loves all of the mail everyone has been sending to her.
Her mom also writes to pray hard that the bone marrow takes and this nightmare will be over.

Here are messages that Shaina's mom posted on her Face book page yesterday and today.
haina's not feeling well her counts are all dropping and she's on a constant feed of morphine because she has sores in her throat (all of which the Doctors say is normal). The next 21 days for her are going to be the hardest. Right now she's sleeping a lot and isn't up for eating. I believe they plan to start giving her nutrition via her central line.
Kaylee is home and doing well. Still sore and has some nice bruising on her back. She's such a trooper.
and today's note
Today Shaina received a bin of mail. THANKS A MILLION TO ALL THAT SENT HER A CARD OR PACKAGE. it was a much needed pick me up for her. Love you all The Hxxxxxs:)

Hello.
This s a message from Shaina's mom that she posted on her Facebook page.
We found out last night that Shaina has to have surgery today to have both her port & central lines removed because the blood cultures came back that she has a bacterial blood infection that is known for clinging to the plastic lines. Not sure what time her surgery will be. She's on a call list, which means they will call us as soon as they have a free operating room. We were told most likely between 9:30-1:00.

Hello,
Shaina had three tests that all came back negative for bacteria. She had an operation today to put back in the line.
I had a note from her mom but the computer will not let me access my mail right now to copy it to here.
