Glad to hear Shaina is receiving the cards and packages from everyone. I had a bubble envelope package ready to mail to her but when I went to
www.usps.com to get the zip + 4 add on and put in the address I was given there was a message below it in red that stated "The address you provided is not
recognized by the US Postal Service as an address we serve. Mail sent to this address may be returned." I did go ahead and send the handmade card I made
especially for her and hope she gets it. She deserves to have her days brightened by all the special cards and gifts everyone has been sending! I will make
another attempt to send my package and keeping her in my prayers.

Hello,
If you even send the mail to Shaina at our town and zip it will get to her. there are only 860 people in town and the mailman knows us all. I bet if you only wrote Shaina and omitted her last name it would still get to her.

Thanks Holly. I will send the package I have for her. Have no idea why the post office has that statement on their site, maybe it is such a small community
they didn't give it an add on. I always look up the zip add on when mailing packages. Thanks for the heads up and hope she is feeling better!

Shaina's mom says that when they get home from Boston (four hour drive)they are both so happy to see the mail and kind thoughts Shaina is getting.

This is my first post since I battled my own cancer. I would love to send a package out to her. I received so many
cards and gifts when I was going through my ordeal and I thank all of you that sent them to me. It has been my mission
since, to do whatever I can to bring joy and the Lord into cancer patients lives. Please send me her address. I will
put her on my church prayer list also.

Here are two Facebook posts from Shaina's mother. I had a picture of her mail on a big bed sheet but I can not make it post. You do make a difference.

Shaina's doing good and is on schedule for her bone marrow transplant in early July. We are headed to Boston tomorrow for her pre-op appointment. She's scheduled for surgery in Boston next wednesday the 26th to have her central line placed (for transplant) & ovarian tissue harvest.
THANK YOU FOR ALL OF THE WONDERFUL CARDS…..Shaina loves getting mail now more than ever. It’s a much needed and huge pick me up for her.
Shaina Update from June 5th-Results of repeat scans-Cancer is gone (couldn’t be happier). Clinical trial medication is doing its job. Shaina has begun the second cycle of medication and will be scheduled for surgery to have her port taken out, a central line put in and ovarian tissue harvested at the end of this month, then onto bone marrow transplant in early to mid-July (which includes a 3 month stay in Boston).

Holly,
When you can could you find out the address @ the hospital so we can keep the cards flowing while she is in there all those months. Praise the Lord her trial worked! Tell her mother to go to a site called Caringbridge and she will be able to post her progress in a journal to keep everyone updated if she wants. Also if she goes to a site called Chemo Angels she will be able to
have people that will follow her through everything with cards and gifts.

So...so happy to read the update on Shaina's health!!! Praise God! I too would love to know how to reach Shaina in Boston... isolation post transplant can be a little rough-- even the bravest can fall into a funk. We are all too familiar. Thank you for the update and please help my family keep in touch with her!

Hello,
Shaina and her mom are making day trips to Boston until the bone marrow transplant happens then they will be in Boston for three months. So, her home address is the best to use right now.
I did see Shaina and her family at the Mountaineers game tonight. The Mountaineers is a college age team of young men from around the country who spend the summer her in Vermont playing teams from New England. It is a popular evening activity for families. She had curly hair so she must have had a wig on. She was smiling.
I will give her mom the web sites and see if she wants to use them to keep people updated.

I have a daughter near the same age. My heart aches for this child. Isabelle and I would LOVE to send her something. It would be next week or this weekend, likely, so we can finish up 4h. what else is she into Judy or Holly?
