Hi Girls,

I've been trying to figure out what to post here for the longest time. I love the business that I started for myself. I am having the best time selling eggs and talking to kids around the country. I also really enjoy the fact that it helps out a lot of us farmwives and retired farm folk by offering a distribution point for eggs and other goods. If anyone has any questions about what I do, I'd be happy to answer them.

Beyond that, I just wanted to put this opportunity out there and see if there was any interest.

There are a number of "vacancies" within my store, as in breeds that I don't currently carry. If you have something I don't, and have an interest in shipping, I'd really like to hear from you. Also currently all the SQ * eggs are only available from Jan - May so I need back ups for all of those breeds as well. Country Egg has only been online since March of this year and I've seen almost 36,000 hits. 2007 promises to be an amazing year and I'd be pleased as punch to have any of you wonderful ladies on board with me.

Hi Beth :)

My biggest tip for classroom hatching is to impress upon the children how important it is to leave the incubator CLOSED. Kids get so excited, they tend to sneak peaks whenever the teacher isn't looking and often the incubator lid is left askew. This really wonks the temperature and the humidity out of balance. The second is to make sure all those little kid hands are CLEAN. Eggs are porous and sweat, oil, and bacteria transfer through the eggshells really easy. The last hurdle is managing humidity over the weekend. I always recommend placing a kitchen sponge in the bottom of the inc instead of just filling the groves in the tray. It manages the humidity much better and offers greater surface area for evaporation.

Hope that's helpful,

Babs

Hi Babs,
If you could send me an email detailing how you handle distribitors for your eggs. If you would like to look at our birds our web site is www.gamebantam.com our birds are show quality. We usually sell older birds but this might be something we would be interested in.
Thank you,
Alicia
